The Prosperity Center is a United Way collaborative between Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Forsyth County and Experiment in Self-Reliance.
Our Center assists individuals with a variety of needs, aimed at helping them reach financial stability. Services include job search assistance, learning how to get and stay debt free, low-interest car loans and much more. We also offer various classes and workshops throughout the year, including English as a Second Language, Computer Basics and others.

At the Prosperity Center we provide a comprehensive package of services that help to resolve personal problems that may adversely impact work performance, conduct, health and well-being. We address problems in the quickest and most convenient manner while protecting confidentiality.
The Prosperity Center is staffed by professional counselors who provide services and programs that assist with the following all under one roof:
• Resolving credit issues and assistance in improving credit scores
• Reducing debt and increasing assets through personal financial plans
• Purchasing a home and matched savings programs for home ownership
• Providing English as a second language and a range of computer literacy classes
• Free tax preparation and filing services utilizing the Earned Income Tax Credit
Career Connections
This program offers Computer and internet use to its customers as needed, job search assistance including weekly job leads, and assistance with online applications. Career counseling, resume building and interview assistance, and skills assessments for those having trouble finding a job are also available. There is also access to copiers, fax machines, a scanner and telephones.
Consumer Credit Counseling Services
This program offers budget, credit, and bankruptcy counseling for those who are having trouble managing their finances. There is also debt management, credit report assistance and foreclosure prevention and housing counseling.
Experiment in Self Reliance
This program offers opportunity for self sufficiency by offering assistance with transitional housing, free income tax filing and individual savings accounts.
